Our OPEN History
Founded in 1998 in Boston, OPEN has grown to 14 chapters in some of the world’s most dynamic hubs of entrepreneurship — from Silicon Valley to New York to London to Islamabad. OPEN’s membership boasts leading entrepreneurs, business leaders and corporate professionals. OPEN provides a gateway to rewarding connections and accessibility to influential members in our community. OPEN Boston is a voluntary not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and professional excellence within diaspora communities in the Boston area. OPEN provides a platform for entrepreneurs and professionals to connect, network, collaborate, mentor and support each other, helping countless in their entrepreneurial journeys. Our members include professionals, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, scientists, social leaders, academics, and students.
Vision
OPEN Boston aims to build and promote an ecosystem of resources, inspiration, mentorship & networking opportunities for professionals and entrepreneurs in the Boston area to grow in their career or business. We strive to be a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of entrepreneurs working to grow and succeed together through entrepreneurship, business acceleration, partnerships, cross chapter collaboration.

Our mission is to promote and accelerate entrepreneurship and business growth by bringing together professionals to collaborate, learn, and create lasting positive change worldwide.
We connect Entrepreneurs, Investors, Business Leaders, and Professionals in the Greater Boston area. We will do so through workshops, events and mentoring opportunities locally as well as with other OPEN chapters around the globe.

Welcome to OPEN Boston - the founding chapter of the Global OPEN organization! For over 20 years, we have been a leading networking platform for both professionals and entrepreneurs - regardless of your industry, role or experience. We have some really exciting events planned for this year - including some virtual fireside chats with seasoned professionals leading up to our large annual event with prominent executives (and great food) once we are able to get back together in person.
